Article Word Count: 445

With Online banking as with traditional banking, security is the basic concern. People are concerning the security when using online banking system because most of them have such types of questions prior using online banking "Are my funds safe?","Can someone else have access to my funds?" or "Can a e-thief clean all my balance?". All questions are right and involves security but in fact online banking is more the secure than traditional banking, you would ask me why, well first of all you are the only one responsible for the security of your account and if somebody else has access to it,it's only your fault.

Online banking take security very seriously. All online banking companies or other financial or lending organisations have their security procedures and policies posted in TOS of their website. Online banks offer the most recent security method in order to ensure the safely and secure transfer of information as the integrity and security of the system. They use differnt levels of security systems to protect their customers information and account. All the computers within a bank has a firewall installed and their webpages are encrypted,so using these modern technologies such as Digital Certificates,Public/Private Key Cryptography,Private Key Cryptography,Cryptographic Hashing,Server-Gated Cryptography would start a secure connection between customers and the bank website via HTTPS. Additional firewalls and routers ensure that all inside addresses are protected from the outside access.

Another security measure is the password. All personal transaction are protected by an individual password, assigned by an online bank. Make sure that the password is secure and keep it in secret, better memorize it than carrying it in written form. Store it apart from the computer and never carry it in the wallet. Be sure no one watches you enter the password, remember always to logout from your online account and exit the browser after finishing the work with it. Also the computer must be kept free of viruses that could capture password keystrokes. Always use authorized browsers that supports the 128-bit encryption, usualy used on every online bank webpage. When managing an online transaction make sure to close multiple browser windows. Respecting these simple security measures one can use online banking safely and secure from his own home PC.

As about security, nothing that involves money is 100% safe, but online banking is still more secure than traditional banking, because: the nature of process and transactions are made from the security of your home or office, online banks are realy concentrated on security, the banks computers are protected by firewall and all transfers use SSL secure transfer. Online banking is more secure than the traditional one and also is more comfortable.
